Statistics Doctoral Student Association (SDSA) is an RSO in UIUC. It consits of Statistics PhD students and its actions include research seminars, social events and general support to the Statistics Doctoral Students.
Currently, I am a Board member and Dance Teacher for the Illini Swing Society RSO of UIUC. We are offering weekly lessons on campus and we organise workshops as well as special events.
Music has been a huge part of my life for more than 15 years now. I started my violin studies as an extracurricular activity while I was in elementary school and they were officially concluded in the Summer of 2020. Since then, I continue my personal studies in the classical violin repertoire. I am currently working on Sibelius Violine Concerto and Bach Violin Partita No. 1.
In the scope of my music studies, I have also obtained a diploma in music theory and I was part of various orchestras.
I discovered Swing Dancing in 2018 through my University's student dance group. After some time, I became a Board member of the Lindy-Hop dance group of University of Crete (2018-2022).
Rock climbing is my favourite sport and it is an essential part of my every-day routine. I thoroughly enjoy bouldering and rope climbing, and I am a certified lead climbing belayer at the Activities and Recreation Center of UIUC.
